Bryson DeChambeau has been tipped to make a "completely unprecedented" switch to full-time YouTube content creation as he approaches the end of his lucrative contract with LIV Golf.
The future of two-time major winner DeChambeau, who signed a deal to join LIV Golf in June 2022, continues to be a major talking point.
Shortly after Rory McIlroy retained his Masters crown, news broke that LIV Golf was seriously at risk of collapsing, with rumours emerging that their funding could be cut by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Earlier this week, LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil said the series is "funded through the season" and would "work like crazy" to keep going.

āThe reality is youāre funded through the season, and then you work like crazy as a business to create a business and a business plan to keep us going," he told TNT Sports.
A report from The Athletic this week claimed that DeChambeau and his team have already met with organisations to discuss possible options if he opted to leave LIV.
It was also suggested that the 32-year-old American is 'open' to only filming content for his YouTube channel and playing the four majors as he continues to grow on the video-sharing platform.

At the time of writing, DeChambeau has more than 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube, with his most popular upload being a 'can I break 50' video featuring US President Donald Trump.
So, how would a switch to full-time YouTube content creation play out? Dan Rapaport, who is the host of popular YouTube podcast Dan on Golf, believes that if anybody will manage to make it work, it would be DeChambeau
āHe is the only guy I think could actually do it and not have his play suffer," said Rapaport.
āIt would be completely unprecedented. There is this prevailing wisdom in golf that you need to be playing before a major championship, and you need to get yourself into competitive shape.
āBut Bryson is a unicorn. He is one of a kind. I think he gets those competitive juices from playing on YouTube. Most players have to be down the stretch on the back nine to feel like that, but I think he gets it from trying to break 50 with Tony Romo.ā
Bryson DeChambeau gives update on LIV Golf contract situation
Negotiations with LIV Golf contract are still ongoing, according to DeChambeau, but he remains optimistic about making a deal happen.
"We're still working on a potential contract," DeChambeau told Flushing It Golf. "I haven't given up on that and I think there will be a solution. But as of right now, my job is to help make the league work after this year. I just feel like I have a responsibility.
"I've put a lot of effort into it. So that's what I'm going to do, we're going to make this work. As long as LIV is here, I would figure out a way for it to make sense."
