Donald Trump demanded comedian be 'deported' after he humiliated US president at sports event

The American President was not happy after the comedian pulled off a controversial prank.

Donald Trump once called for a comedian to be deported for what he did when the US President visited a golf course in the UK.

After nearly one month of football, the first revamped Club World Cup competition will come to an end on Sunday as Paris Saint-Germain face Chelsea in the final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Several big names are expected to be in attendance at the highly-anticipated match, including American President Trump, who hopes his appearance will help boost the profile of the US as a football destination ahead of them co-hosting the 2026 World Cup.

The Club World Cup final is not the first big sporting event that Trump will have attended in recent months, with the President also spotted cageside for UFC 316 last month.

But there was one sporting event that the 78-year-old clearly did not enjoy, as left furious at a comedian for humiliating him.

Throughout both of Trump's terms in The White House, he has spent a considerable amount of time out of office playing golf at several of his resorts across the world.

But back in 2016 when he visited the Trump Turnberry Golf Resort in Ayr, Scotland, things didn't exactly go to plan.

Simon Brodkin, a comedian known for his character called Lee Nelson, decided to interrupt he re-opening of the resort by handing out Nazi-themed golf balls bearing swastikas on them.

According to Brodkin, 47, Trump was incensed at the action and demanded that he be punished, before Police Scotland intervened and convinced the world leader not to press charges.

“I do have a criminal record, but also a lot to thank the Scottish police for - they were brilliant,” Nelson told The Scottish Sun.

“Trump wanted to really throw the book at me, and the Scottish police convinced him not to press charges.

“Who wants to get waterboarded by the CIA when you can have an Irn Bru in the back of a police van?

“I was in there for ages with the coppers, and it felt more like I was on a stag do than anything else. They drove me to the airport and put me on a plane back to London and told Trump and his team I was deported"

But, it's not just Trump that Nelson has targeted during his career, a former UK Prime Minister Theresa May, ex-FIFA President Sepp Blatter and Kanye West have all been pranked by the comedian.

However, Brodkin admitted that some people are off-limits, telling Sky in 2019: "There's many targets who would be fun to go for but might end up with a death sentence, like if I went for Kim Jong Un.

"And then I think if you go for someone like the Queen, that would just be a national catastrophe because you need to go for people with that sweet spot who most people pat you on the back and go, 'that was funny'."
