Lando Norris has been criticised for making a distasteful joke about a fellow F1 driver while partying hours after the Singapore Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver finished fourth in the race, behind third-placed Kimi Antonelli, second-placed Charles Leclerc and winner Max Verstappen.
Norris had a hugely controversial race weekend, first clashing with a reporter after the Sprint race.

Lando Norris criticised for behaviour over Singapore GP weekend
During the Sprint, Norris clipped his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri’s front-left wheel at Turn 5. The incident put the Australian out of the Sprint race, while the Brit finished eighth.

“Sorry about that. Obviously, I didn’t want that to happen,” Norris said after the Sprint.
“I thought I was fully alongside. I just ran out of space at the apex, but I was there.
“We’ll review it.”
A journalist for Dutch broadcaster ViaPlay then asked the 26-year-old whether the move was “unnecessary”.
“What, to go for a big gap?” Norris snapped.
“What’s the title of the race?”
“A sprint,” the journalist replied.
“What’s after sprint?” Norris questioned.
“Race,” the journalist answered.
“Wow, good job. It’s a race,” the Brit explained.
Norris’ reaction provoked some fans to call him smug and even rude on social media.
"I can't attempt what I did. I should never have attempted it in the first place, even if the move was on," said Norris after Sunday’s race.
"I simply have to think more about the team I represent than about myself. It was a mistake on my part; I let down the team. I've also apologised to all of them, and I owe them all an apology. We'll do better next time."
Lando Norris makes distasteful joke about Lance Stroll
Later on Sunday, Norris’ behaviour was under the microscope again, this time for making a joke about Lance Stroll while attending a nightclub.
Someone held up a sign that read: “To the best driver”, before Norris shouted, “Where’s Lance [Stroll]? Where’s Lance?”
Of course, Aston Martin’s Stroll has yet to pick up a single point this season and did not finish the Singapore race, marking his 11th DNF of 2026 and his fifth in his last six races.
Fans were quick to react to the clip on social media.
One said: “Bro’s PR manager is fighting for their life.”
Another added: “Yeah, he’s not the best driver, but some things just need to be kept to yourself out of respect.”
A third claimed: “I like Lando’s villain persona. You guys are taking it too seriously; let’s have some fun.”
A fourth commented: “I like it when drivers are themselves and dare to say things outside the carefully crafted script they’re given. I just think we need to put an end to the hypocrisy of whining about abusive comments on social media and all that stupid stuff. You have to be consistent.”
F1 returns for the United States Grand Prix on October 25.
