Martin Brundle's interview with three-time Olympic champion Eileen Gu prior to the Singapore Grand Prix is being praised by fans.
Gu, who won gold in the women's halfpipe event at the 2026 Winter Olympics, was on the grid before the race at Marina Bay and had been seen interviewing George Russell as he walked down the pit lane on Sunday.
She said she was attending an F1 race for the first time in Singapore, which has been on the calendar since 2008.

Brundle had plenty on his plate earlier in his traditional gridwalk, with Lewis Hamilton's partner Kim Kardashian stopping for a brief chat on Sky Sports F1.
Kardashian started by apologising to Brundle for snubbing him at the Monaco Grand Prix, and said she was 'very confident' that Hamilton would have a good race.

Afterwards, he approached Olympic star Gu, introducing her as a three-time gold medalist before telling her: "I love watching you and it's such a pleasure to meet you."
"And it's such a joy to be here," Gu replied. "It's my first Singapore Grand Prix, the environment's amazing, I can't wait to celebrate sports. Let's do it!"
"When I'm watching you, you've got that last chance on the halfpipe or something, it reminds me of a qualifying lap in Formula 1," Brundle said. "Like, you've got to get it done, haven't you?"
"Sometimes the pressure is higher in qualifiers than in the final," she answered. "It depends on the track, I guess, for F1.
"For me, sometimes it's just about making the final as well. Actually, at the Olympics, I fell in my first two out of three runs. For all of the events. So you could imagine the pressure was sky-high."
"Lovely to see you on the grid," Brundle said, before spotting Mercedes driver and championship leader Kimi Antonelli walking past him. "I'll just have a quick chat with Kimi, if I may."
After speaking to Antonelli, Brundle turned back towards Gu and told her: "Sorry Eileen, I'm really sorry I turned around and didn't say goodbye properly. Thank you very much, nice to see you."
"Love to see Martin Brundle shout out Eileen Gu on the grid - seriously impressive athlete," one fan said.
"Martin Brundle was WAY more excited to see Eileen Gu than Kim Kardashian," a second stated.
Eileen Gu watches Red Bull success at Singapore GP
Gu is sponsored by Red Bull, and was wearing one of their caps on the grid.
She will no doubt have enjoyed, then, watching Max Verstappen lead from lights to flag to secure his second consecutive victory of the 2026 season.
Verstappen started on pole and, while he was briefly pursued by Charles Leclerc in the opening laps, rarely looked troubled - aside from his team radio appearing to malfunction midway through the race.
His race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase, unable to hear his driver, told Verstappen to press the key button on his team radio as a mechanism to reply to some of his questions.
