A compilation of Xavi Simons ripping up the Eredivisie with PSV is unreal, he's a serious baller

The 19-year-old turned down a new contract at PSG to join the Dutch outfit - and he's enjoying himself.

Xavi Simons has been named the Eredivisie Player of the Month after scoring six goals in four games for new club PSV Eindhoven – and a compilation of his August highlights is impressive, to say the least.

The highly-rated midfielder took many by surprise when he turned down a contract offer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Simons, who made just six Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season, was expected to commit his long term future to the French giants after joining from Barcelona in 2019.

But instead, the 19-year-old penned a five-year deal with PSV.

“I’m at a point in my career where I need to start making minutes,” Simons said after making the move. “That’s possible here. I’m ready and I want to prove myself.”

Simons will certainly play more minutes under Ruud van Nistelrooy in the coming months. In fact, the Dutch side have thrown him straight into the first-team with incredible results.

After scoring on his debut against Ajax in the Dutch Super Cup, he is currently the Eredivisie's joint top scorer after netting six goals in his past four games.

The Netherlands' U19 international has also notched two assists in that time, pulling the strings from midfield against the likes of Excelsior and FC Volendam.

Check out a compilation of his first weeks in Eindhoven below. He looks the real deal.

Earlier this year, Simons impressed fans with his proficiency at languages. The teenager can speak four different languages – French, English, Spanish and his native Dutch.

A compilation video uploaded to YouTube which shows Simons speaking all those languages went down a hit online.

One fan commented: “As a French native speaker, his French is quite stunning," while another added: “So much quality for this guy, both on and off the pitch! IMPRESSIVE!”

A third wrote: “This is so impressive, how does he even have the accents and pronunciation at 18?”
