Spain star Aitana Bonmati has been described as 'salty' by England fans for her comment about Sarina Wiegman's side after defeat in the Euro 2025 final.
The Lionesses retained their European championship title on Sunday night in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Spain's Mariona Caldentey broke the deadlock after 24 minutes, before Alessia Russo's impressive header levelled the game.
Neither team could find a winner, taking the final to penalties, which England won 3-1.
Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal at Euro 2022, bagged the decisive penalty for Wiegman's side.
It is the second major honour of Wiegman's England tenure, although they did fall short in the 2023 World Cup final, which was also against Spain.
The final appears to have reignited tensions between England and Spain, with Barcelona star Bonmati unhappy with the Lionesses' performance.

"That’s how it’s been throughout the tournament... But that’s football, there are teams that don’t need much to win."
England fans were not happy with Bonmati's comments following the pulsating final in Basel.

Another fan @Inder_Mannster added: "Hahaha that's knockout football dude. Anything can happen."
However, some England fans did concede that they were fortunate to retain their title following a series of mixed performances in Switzerland.
@Tabelo2000 said: "I can’t believe how they managed to win this tournament myself ."But hey bravo to our lionesses and congratulations for backing it up again."

In the quarter-finals, they came back from two goals down to take the game to penalties, which they won.
England looked set to be heading out of the tournament in their semi-final against Italy, before Michelle Agyemang's late, late equaliser.
Agyemang, who was named as the young player of the tournament, levelled the scoring with just seconds left to play.
And England left it late in extra-time to find a winner.
With just one minute left to play, Beth Mead was brought down in the box.
Chloe Kelly saw her initial spot-kick saved but she reacted quickest to slam home the rebound.
There were no issues from 12 yards for Kelly in the final as she scored yet another championship-winning goal.
