West Ham have reportedly offered Declan Rice a massive eight-year contract to convince him to remain at the London Stadium.

Rice, 23, has produced another impressive season at West Ham and has captained the team throughout the campaign, with Mark Noble no longer a first-team regular.

The Hammers are desperate to hold on to England international Rice, who has been linked with a summer move away from the club.

The midfielder has two years left on his current contract and has been the subject of interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Rice has reportedly turned down a series of contract offers from West Ham and is yet to make a decision over his long-term future.

According to talkSPORT, West Ham have now returned to the negotiating table with a huge eight-year contract worth £200,000 per week.

talkSPORT host Jim White said: "It is my understanding that West Ham are 99 per cent certain they will not sell Declan Rice this summer.

"Declan Rice has been offered an eight-year deal at West Ham United worth £200,000-a-week on a rising scale to match inflation.

"An eight-year deal worth £200,000-a-week. At this stage he is showing no inclinations to sign it. This eight-year deal could become a ten-year deal, if Declan and his people wanted such a deal worth £200,000-a-week.

"So would they sell? There is a belief in Declan Rice's camp that he could get between £300,000 and £400,000-a-week elsewhere. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen.

"The magic figure may be £150m, but there is a feeling a West Ham United that there is next to no chance of that figure being offered for Declan Rice this summer.

"That's why they feel they are 99 per cent certain they will keep him this summer."

West Ham manager David Moyes has previously stated that the club has no intention of selling Rice and would only consider an offer north of £150m for the England star.

West Ham's chances of keeping Rice seemingly suffered a blow last week when their hopes of securing Champions League football for next season were ended after a defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

However, speaking after the loss, Rice suggested he was planning for another season at the London Stadium.

"We've proved that we can play in big European games and our fans and our stadium have shown we can handle those big European nights, and that's what we want more of,” said Rice.

"I'm proud of the lads because we're not the biggest of squads… but in the end we've had a great year and we're ready to go again."
