A former Cheltenham Town player is closing in a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Le Parisien, left-back Yuri Berchiche, now playing for La Liga side Real Sociedad is close to moving to the French capital in a €15 million (£13.1 million) deal.
Berchiche moved to England in 2007 when he signed a deal with Tottenham and joined the youth ranks at the club.

He never made a single appearance for the club, though, and was loaned out twice. The first was a one month stint at Cheltenham Town, in League One at the time, where he made just seven appearances.

A return to Spain, on a temporary basis, with Real Valladolid, followed later in 2009, and the defender would then be released by Spurs at the age of 20 in 2010.

Following a two-year loan spell with Eibar, the 27-year old has had quite the upwards spiral in his career and made 39 appearances as La Real finished in sixth place in La Liga last term.

Now, he is poised to join Unai Emery's PG, where he is expected to become the club's first-choice left-back following legendary defender Maxwell calling time on his glittering career at the end of the 2016/17 season.
