In the past few years or so, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have been known to poach fresh, young talent from a number of their Bundesliga rivals.

From the likes of Leon Goretzka, Manuel Neuer and Niklas Sule to the more recent signing of Benjamin Pavard, the club have somewhat eliminated the competition.

But one team in particular have felt the full force of Bayern's dominance in the transfer market in recent years, title rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels all left the Westfalenstadion for the Allianz Arena in recent years, though the latter two both returned.

However in January BILD reported that Dortmund would no longer be authorising any moves for their players to Bayern.

It was reported that bosses at the club have 'passed an internal resolution' - there will be no more player transfers to FC Bayern in the future.

Is is believed that in order to permanently challenge their rivals for the league title in the coming years, they decided that no more star players will be handed over to their direct rivals.

The move didn't help last season as Dortmund managed to throw away a points lead over their rivals in the title race and see the Munich side end up winning a seventh title in a row.

Christian Pulisic was thought to be liked by Bayern last season, when they were being linked with a host of right wingers, but the American moved to Chelsea.

That could have been a sign of things to come and with players like Jadon Sancho, Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard in Dortmund squad right the champions might be annoyed that they won't be able to sign any of them in the future.

However clubs obviously can't stop Germany's biggest team from signing players when their contracts run out and Schalke look likely to lose another player to their rivals.

Goalkeeper Alexander Nubel looks set to follow Manuel Neuer this summer. The 23-year-olds deal with Schalke runs out at the end of the season and he won't be signing a new contract, with Bayern becoming favourites to sign the goalie.

Bayern and Dortmund are separated by just three points again this season but they've got more competition for the league title and are currently sat in third and fourth, respectively, with RB Leipzig leading the way.
