Wrexham are poised to bolster a certain area of their squad ahead of their Championship campaign with a former Premier League player reportedly set for a medical with Phil Parkinson's side.
The North Wales outfit have been on a remarkable journey since being acquired by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in November 2020.
The club has seen three successive promotions over the past trio of campaigns to rise from the National League to the Championship in a memorable time for the club's supporters which followed more than a decade in non-league football.

In League One last season, Wrexham secured automatic promotion as runners-up to Birmingham City to play back in the second tier of English football for the first time since the 1980s.
The Racecourse Ground outfit will begin their season away to Southampton at St Mary's on August 9, but before then Parkinson will be aiming to bolster his squad to ensure it is prepared as it can be for life in the Championship.
The Dragons have made a signing this summer in the form of forward Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle for a report transfer fee of £700,000.

There have been outgoings too, the most notable of these being Paul Mullin who has moved to Wigan Athletic on loan for the upcoming season.
Veteran striker Steven Fletcher was also released, while Sam Dalby has moved to Bolton Wanderers and defender Will Boyle has headed to Shrewsbury Town.

But more business is still to be done and it appears the Dragons are on the verge of reinforcing their goalkeeping department, which would also be a homecoming for the player in question.

According to Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt on social media platform X, Danny Ward is set to have a medical with Wrexham on Monday ahead of a free transfer to the club to be number two behind first choice goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.
The 32-year-old is leaving Leicester City this summer upon the expiry of his contract there and he could face his old club back in the Championship this season following the Foxes' relegation from the Premier League.
Ward was born in Wrexham and came through the club's youth team ranks but did not make a first-team appearance.
He left for Liverpool in 2012 and his career has also seen him play for Morecambe, Aberdeen and Huddersfield Town on loan from Anfield before he moved to Leicester in 2018.

Overall, Ward made 52 appearances for Leicester and won the Championship and the FA Cup at the King Power Stadium in that time.
