Khvicha Kvaratskhelia targeted for shock swap deal that would rock all of Europe

It would be one of the biggest transfers of all-time if it happened this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been linked with a sensational summer transfer that would shock Europe.

The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the best players in the world since his move to the French champions and played an instrumental role in their consecutive Champions League triumphs.

Kvaratskhelia scored 19 goals and registered 11 assists in all competitions last season, as PSG won another Ligue 1 title and defeated Arsenal in the Champions League final.

He only moved to Paris from Napoli in January 2025, for a £59 million transfer fee that already looks like an absolute steal. The Georgia international is still under contract until June 2029, though recent reports suggest he is starting to have concerns about his future at PSG.

El Nacional claims Kvaratskhelia has doubts about his role should the French giants proceed with summer moves for fellow forwards Yan Diomande and Maghnes Akilouche. At the same time, they have also been linked with a stunning swoop for Vinicius Junior.

It is no surprise that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reportedly has no interest in selling Kvaratskhelia, and the Ligue 1 champions would be under no financial pressure to sell their star asset. A recent report claims they value fellow forward Bradley Barcola at a minimum of £116m this summer, so a deal for Kvaratskhelia would be well above that.

That doesn't entirely rule out a transfer, though. Although PSG doesn't want to lose their best attacker, a sensational swap deal could be mutually beneficial.

The shock swap deal that would rock all of Europe

Real Madrid are expected to be major players in the summer transfer window following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as head coach. They have already secured moves for defensive duo Ibrahima Konate and Marc Cucurella, with midfielder Bernardo Silva also set to join the club as a free agent.

Vini Jr. could be at the heart of their plans, though. The earlier report from El Nacional claims there is still a huge element of uncertainty surrounding his future as he enters the final year of his contract.

The 25-year-old is fully focused on the World Cup with Brazil, but there can be no ignoring the fact that he could become a free agent next year and would be allowed to negotiate with overseas clubs from January.

It is claimed Vini Jr. will only consider signing a new Real Madrid contract if he is handed an enormous £51m loyalty bonus, which has led to links with various forwards who could replace him.

Mourinho has reportedly demanded that Real Madrid sign a world-class forward to replace the Brazilian, with Bayern Munich star Michael Olise one of two options. However, the German giants have no interest in a sale and have made it clear that Olise will still be at the club next season.

It brings us back to Kvaratskhelia. He is supposedly the other name on Real Madrid's summer wishlist, but PSG have once again made it clear they have no interest in a sale either. In fact, it is suggested that he would be an even more 'complicated' transfer to complete than Olise, due to PSG's enormous financial muscle.

Le Parisien claims that the only factor that would make them reconsider their stance is if Real Madrid offered them Vinicius Junior in exchange for Kvaratskhelia, a stunning swap-deal that would give both clubs a world-class forward.

It might not be the ideal outcome, but it could be a mutually beneficial last resort if both players seek summer moves.
