Liverpool and Arsenal know they will have to spend big if they are to have any hope of signing Bradley Barcola in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his reduced role at Paris Saint-Germain and fears he could get even fewer opportunities after the French champions were made favourites to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig.
It is understood that Barcola is reluctant to sign a new PSG deal and is prepared to leave the club this summer if there are no guarantees of regular starts next season.
Barcola has won two Champions League trophies and three Ligue 1 titles since joining PSG from Lyon in 2023, but was named on the bench for the recent Champions League final win over Arsenal. That snub is considered the main reason why he will consider his future this summer.

Liverpool and Arsenal are both in the market for new forwards this summer and would be appealing destinations for the France international, but a move currently looks unlikely due to his stunning asking price.
How much PSG want for Barcola this summer
PSG are in no rush to sell Barcola this summer and are under no financial pressure to cash in on him, even if he has yet to sign a new contract.
Barcola is still under contract for another two years, and it is understood PSG have halted any exit talks, with their primary focus on agreeing on an improved deal.
The Athletic claims that PSG will hold firm on their asking price and that they value him at a minimum of £116 million in the current market.
The report claims that the Champions League holders are using the proposed deal for Elliot Anderson to join Manchester City as a market benchmark, as they believe he is a more attractive option than the Nottingham Forest star.
It is also claimed that PSG no longer need to sell Barcola this summer after AC Milan agreed a club-record fee to sign striker Goncalo Ramos for a fee in the region of £64m. If they need to raise any further funds, Luis Enrique's side will reportedly allow both Lee Kang-in and Randal Kolo Muani to leave this summer.
Arsenal are keen to sign a new left winger as they look to build on their Premier League title triumph, while Liverpool are in desperate need of a forward after the departure of club legend Mohamed Salah. Manchester United were also linked with a deal for Barcola, though their priority is for a midfield overhaul this summer.
Barcola scored 13 goals and provided seven assists for PSG last season and is part of the France squad at the FIFA World Cup this summer. He scored the second goal for his nation as they defeated Senegal 3-1 in the group stage two weeks ago.
