Pep Guardiola has given the green light for Manchester City to make another high profile signing, it has been claimed.
Summer signings Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki both netted as City got to a winning start to the Premier League season with a 4-0 win over Wolves at Molineux.
And upon the departure of 22-year-old academy graduate James McAtee to Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £30m, there could be even more incomings at City.

Indeed, Spanish publication Defensa Central has alleged that Guardiola wants to bring in Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
The Brazil international’s future is in doubt, with the winger competing with the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Endrick, Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler for a starting spot on the flank. In turn, Rodrygo’s minutes could be minimal in what is a World Cup year.
And according to Defensa Central, Guardiola has told Rodrygo’s entourage that they have seven to eight days to opt on a move to the Manchester club.

If the 24-year-old doesn’t come to a decision at that point then City will allegedly rescind their interest in the player.
His arrival is also reportedly contingent on City sanctioning Savinho’s exit to Tottenham Hotspur.
On Rodrygo’s future, Xabi Alonso told reporters via GOAL: "There are a lot of rumours during the summer.
“He's been doing well. I'm counting on everyone, and I want them to be committed to and for the team and to be at 100%.

“That's what worries me and what's occupying me right now."

Guardiola, meanwhile, said he wants to prioritise exits for the remainder of the window, with the Catalan insisting he prefers working with a smaller squad.
Guardiola said: "[It's] too much - too many people. I like a deep squad to compete in all competitions, but I don't want to leave players at home. It's not healthy. You cannot create a good vibe or atmosphere to compete.

"Everyone has to feel they can play and help. The club has known about it since last season, it's not news, but the situation is what it is.
"In the next two weeks, people will talk with players and agents to find a solution."
