Liverpool have reportedly identified a highly rated Serie A winger as Mohamed Salah’s replacement at Anfield.
On 24 March, Salah announced that the current campaign would be his last at Liverpool, with the Egyptian set to move on after nine successful years at Anfield, during which he has netted 255 goals – the third most of any Liverpool player – helping the Reds to two Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, as well as an array of other domestic cups.
While it remains unclear where the Egyptian will be playing his football next season, fans are also keen to learn who will replace him on Liverpool’s right flank.
Several names, including Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise and Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola, have been mentioned, although it is unclear who is top of the Merseyside club’s wishlist at present.

However, reports from Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Reds are keen on Juventus and Portugal winger Francisco Conceicao.
The 23-year-old arrived at Juventus from Porto initially on loan last term before penning a permanent deal worth £27 million in the summer of 2025.

This term, the winger, who is contracted to Juve until 2030, has registered just three goals and the same number of assists in 23 Serie A appearances, with the Bianconeri sitting fifth in Italy’s top flight.
It is reported that Juve would consider a fee of around £56 million for the player, although a transfer will likely be heavily impacted by whether the Italians can qualify for the 2026/27 Champions League.
Conceicao addressed the claims during the international break.
Speaking at a press conference last week, he said: “I know people talk about it being a great club, but I play for a big club where I’m happy.
“Right now I’m only focused on these two games we have with the national team, and then I’ll concentrate on the final stretch of the season to help my club as much as possible.
“My goal is to help with goals and assists, that’s what I try to do. I must continue every day to show that I have the ability to help the national team and be helped by them to continue to evolve.”
Conceicao featured in Portugal’s 2–0 win over the USMNT on 1 April, having also played in the 0–0 draw against Mexico on 29 March.
According to AS, Portugal boss Roberto Martinez previously referred to the winger as espalha-brasas, which translates to “troublemaker” or someone who is energetic.
