A Manchester United star is reportedly close to signing for Al Nassr and could be playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

After a bitterly disappointing season, United are set to be active in the summer transfer window.

So far, the Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and are reportedly pushing to snap up Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

In terms of outgoings, the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho have all been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Now, it has been claimed that Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is also being linked with an exit.

As reported by Sport Jazirah, via Utd Report, who wrote: "The #AlNassr club is close to signing the Brazilian player Casemiro, the Manchester United midfielder, during the upcoming summer transfer period, and sources indicate that negotiations are at an advanced stage."

Back in the summer of 2022, Casemiro left Real Madrid for United in a deal worth a reported fee of £60 million.

Since then, the 33-year-old has made 125 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 17 goals.

However, Casemiro's performances over the last couple of seasons have been put under heavy scrutiny and it has been suggested that United would be willing to let him go.

If he does decide to leave United for Al Nassr, Casemiro could be reunited with former teammate Ronaldo.

The Portuguese legend is out of contract at the end of the month, but it has been suggested that he is set to remain at the club.

Ronaldo said: "Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes."

Speaking back in May, Al Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro said: "Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr runs until June 30. We will work to renew his contract so he can continue with us, and there are many clubs interested in signing him.

"We are negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo to renew his contract. God willing, we will find a solution."
