Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham is reportedly considering a massive transfer in the summer after visiting a shock club just days after securing promotion to the Premier League.

On Saturday afternoon, Sunderland defied the odds and secured promotion to the Premier League after beating Sheffield United in the play-off final at Wembley.

Such an achievement will have caught the attention of several clubs across England and abroad, who may look to sign some of Sunderland's players ahead of the start of next season.

Of the whole squad, star midfielder Bellingham, brother of England and Real Madrid star Jude, appears to be the most in demand, with a number reportedly interested in securing his signature.

But a new report has linked him with a shock move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, amid links with their German rivals Borussia Dortmund.

According to a Sky Sports Germany report from Florian Plettenberg and Patrick Berger, several Bundesliga clubs are interested in signing Bellingham when the transfer window opens next month.

Dortmund were believed to be the favourites in the race to sign the talented midfielder after his older brother enjoyed a three-year spell with them, but both Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are now also firm contenders.

Despite a visit from BVB manager Niko Kovac, who recently flew to Sunderland to speak with Bellingham, the 19-year-old flew to Frankfurt to meet with club officials this week.

As it stands, the midfielder is under contract with Sunderland until 2028, but appears to be keen to secure a big move in the summer.

Bellingham played a key role in Sunderland's promotion this season, making 43 appearances across the season in both the Championship and the play-off final and both semi-final matches.

But a series of cryptic posts on Instagram have led fans to believe that he will not be around next season to enjoy the reward for his hard work this season, Premier League football.

In one post, the Sunderland star shared an photo of the aftermath of the Wembley win, captioning it 'Job finished,' before sharing another post from 2024 after he'd signed a new deal with the club.
