
Jamie Vardy is finally on the verge of signing for a new club following his Leicester City departure this summer.
Vardy ended his Leicester association at the end of last season and has since been linked with several high-profile clubs.
Clubs in the UK have attempted to sign him, including Crystal Palace, Wrexham and Rangers.
Vardy has also attracted interest from Europe and further afield, with teams in Spain, Italy and the United States expressing a desire in acquiring the veteran forward.

And it appears a move to Italy is nearing a completion.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Vardy is closing in on joining Cremonese, who were promoted to Serie A last season.
The 38-year-old is set to travel to Italy tonight to finalise his move.

On X, Romano wrote: "Jamie Vardy to Cremonese, here we go! Deal in place with Italian club until June 2026 plus option for +1 season if staying in Serie A.
"Agreement done right now and Vardy scheduled to travel tonight to Milano in order to start new chapter.
"#LCFC legend will play in Italy."
So, Vardy is expected to pen a one-year deal. with the option of another year if Cremonese avoid the drop.

It comes after Feyenoord, who are managed by ex-Arsenal and Manchester United forward Robin van Persie, tried to secure his services.
Van Persie personally pursued the move for Vardy.

It looks like Cremonese have fended off competition from Feyenoord to land Vardy, who will move abroad for the first time in his decorated career.

Vardy began his professional career at Stocksbridge Park Steels before representing Halifax Town, Fleetwood Town and, of course, Leicester.
Cremonese are on the cusp of securing an experienced forward, who has an impressive 145 Premier League goals to his name.
He also has international experience, having scored 7 goals in 26 games for England.
Cremonese, who are managed by Davide Nicola, won promotion to Italy's top flight last season and opened their 2025/26 campaign with a big 2-1 victory at AC Milan before beating Sassuolo 3-2 last Friday.
