A La Liga club have made an approach to sign Jadon Sancho after the former Manchester United star spent nearly five months as a free agent.
When Sancho arrived at Manchester United in a £73million move in July 2021, joining as the fourth-most expensive signing at the time, expectations on him were high.
Five years later, the former England international finds himself without a club following failed spells with several Premier League sides, but it's now been reported that Spanish side Getafe have made an approach to offer Sancho a lifeline.

Across his United career, Sancho managed just 18 goal contributions across 83 appearances in all competitions and spent a lot of his time at the club on loan elsewhere.

His most recent loan spell saw him playing for Unai Emery's Aston Villa, who had the chance to sign Sancho permanently at the end of the season, but ultimately decided against it.
It means that Sancho has now spent 148 days ago — nearly five months - as a free agent, but his spell without a club could be about to end thanks to La Liga's Getafe.
As reported by the BBC, the Spanish side, who are currently 14th in La Liga and are competing in the Europa Conference League, have made an approach to sign Sancho on a free transfer.
It is believed that a deal to join Getafe may be difficult, but the Spanish side are eager to find a solution to make the move happen.
Sancho would become the second big name to join Getafe as a free agent in recent weeks if he made the move after Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal joined earlier this week.
