Chelsea are poised to have another busy summer of transfer activity with up to 23 players potentially heading out of the door at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca's side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and are a point behind Manchester City in the battle for Champions League football next season.

The English top flight has been awarded five places in Europe's top club competition next campaign owing to the performances of Premier League sides in the European competitions this campaign.

Chelsea are also in the UEFA Conference League and appear to be the heavy favourites to win that competition.

Maresca's side will also be in action this summer in the FIFA Club World Cup alongside City, which is taking place following the conclusion of the Premier League campaign.

Ever since Todd Boehly became Chelsea chairman when BlueCo took over the West London club from Roman Abramovich in 2022, the Stamford Bridge side have become increasingly well known for their activities in the transfer market with a huge turnover of players.

Last summer alone, 11 players were brought into Chelsea either permanently or on loan, with 25 first-team squad members heading out of the door.

Which players could leave Chelsea this summer?

According to new reports, up to 23 players could be leaving Chelsea this summer in a bid to raise €500m (£427m).

Some star names could be on the way out, as per a list from Fichajes, including the likes of Wesley Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk and Jadon Sancho.

Chelsea have an option to buy Sancho from Manchester United this summer to make his loan move a permanent one, but the Blues are also able to pay United £5m if they do not wish to go ahead with this transfer.

Fofana and Mudryk are mentioned as players who have uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge, as well as Christopher Nkunku, midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - who only arrived last summer from Leicester City, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, Noni Madueke, striker Marc Guiu - who himself only joined from Barcelona last summer, David Datro Fofana and Reece James.

The report also mentions players who are currently out on loan at other clubs who could be sold this summer to boost transfer funds.

These include defender Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Andrey Santos, Joao Felix, Lesley Ugochukwu, Carney Chukwuemeka, Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Mike Penders, Deivid Washington, Caleb Wiley, Alfie Gilchrist and Bashir Humphreys.

The report suggests Chelsea hopes that some €500m (£427m) generated from these sales would allow the club to reinvest to make further signings and overhaul the Stamford Bridge squad for next season.
