Fans have noticed that Mykhailo Mudryk liked a social media post about his Chelsea teammates amid a ruthless cull at the club.

Chelsea have spent much of the summer transfer window adding new players to their already bloated squad, and now they are desperately trying to offload players before deadline day next week.

In a bid to force players out, 13 first team stars have been forced to train away from Enzo Maresca's side.

Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are among them, and earlier this week Maresca admitted that they will not feature under him this season.

Bother are hoping for permanent moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer, as are outcasts Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

One star whose future appears to be safe - for now - is Mykhailo Mudryk. Chelsea paid an initial £62 million to sign the Ukrainian winger in January 2023, but he has so far failed to impress in the Premier League.

Some fans have a theory that Chelsea's stars aren't passing to the 23-year-old, and it appears that he might be of the same opinion.

Fans have spotted that Mudryk 'liked' a comment about him on Instagram, which read: "They need to pass to you, you're an amazing player."

Given the current instability at the club, fans are split about Mudryk's decision to like the comment.

"Let the chaos begin," one fan wrote on social media.

"Every time Mudryk has been on the field, I can't help but feel that he is purposely not being passed to," another commented.

However, not all Chelsea fans agreed.

"Maybe he should learn to start making runs off the ball as well as retaining the ball better," one fan argued.

"He’s a turnover machine because he mostly loses his duels or has such an awful touch that the opponents just easily intercept it."

A fourth supporter said: "I haven’t noticed teammates not passing to him. But every time he receives the ball he takes a heavy touch, tries to run on to it, then a defender steps in to make a winning challenge."
