Barcelona 'interested in signing Jadon Sancho' and another problem player at Man Utd

Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Jadon Sancho and another Manchester United outcast.

Sancho’s future at United has been plunged into darkness after his unsavoury public spat with manager Erik ten Hag.

After being criticised for his performances in training, Sancho released a statement in which he denied the claims made by his manager.

Since then, he has reportedly refused to apologise to the United boss and has now been ‘completely exiled’.

Despite his teammates urging him to swallow his pride and apologise, it remains to be seen whether Sancho will play for United again.

According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, La Liga giants Barcelona are interested in making a move for Sancho and Anthony Martial, who also faces an uncertain future at the club.

Frenchman Martial has failed to impress since joining the club back in 2015 and due to his poor injury record, it is unlikely that Ten Hag will count on the 27-year-old.

It has been reported that Barcelona believe that the market will ‘once again offer players’ to them during the January transfer window, just like it happened in the summer when they snapped up both Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix, who were having a tough time at their previous clubs.

Due to their continued financial problems, Barcelona are reportedly having to think outside the box when it comes to transfers.

Xavi is looking to snap up high-profile signings at a bargain price, a category that both Sancho and Martial could fall into.

Aside from Sancho and Martial, Barcelona are believed to be looking at players with similar situations at their clubs.

The likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Jorginho, Nico Williams and Kai Havertz are all said to be on Barcelona’s potential wanted list.

After Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace, United boss Ten Hag gave a brief update on Sancho.

The Dutchman said: “That is up to him, I don’t speak about unavailable players.”
