Barcelona have reportedly been offered the chance to sign a highly rated forward, and a transfer could benefit Arsenal this summer.
Having won the club’s first Premier League title in 22 years last season, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta will be in close contact regarding the Gunners' dealings in the transfer window this summer.
Last summer, Arteta welcomed several players, including Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga, to the club.
And despite winning the title, Arsenal will once again enter the transfer market this summer as they bid to retain their crown, as well as go one better by finally winning the Champions League.

Despite the transfer window not officially opening until June 15, the Gunners have already been linked with moves for Eli Junior Kroupi, Nathaniel Brown, Morgan Rogers and Leicester City teenager Jeremy Monga.
But arguably the biggest potential transfer saga involves former Manchester City and current Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
Alvarez is the subject of interest from both Arsenal and La Liga champions Barcelona, with the Catalans reportedly having already lodged a £77.9 million offer, which seemingly annoyed Atleti, who responded by jokingly proposing a bid for Lamine Yamal.
On X, they wrote: "We have sent a fax to FC Barcelona with our transfer offer: 4 tickets for tomorrow's Bad Bunny concert, an annual subscription to ABC, and a bag of sunflower seeds. We eagerly await the response to prepare the 'announce'."
While Paris Saint-Germain were also linked with Alvarez, their interest appears to have cooled, leaving the Gunners and Barcelona in a straight shootout for the Argentina international.
But could another transfer help Arsenal land Alvarez this summer?
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona have been offered the opportunity to sign Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen.
The Nigeria international is a fan favourite in Istanbul and has registered 59 goals in 74 games since his arrival from Napoli in 2024, helping the Turkish giants win back-to-back Super Lig titles and the Turkish Cup in 2025.
Osimhen, who is contracted to Gala until 2029, has been offered to Barca through intermediaries, with the club valuing his ability and goalscoring prowess.
However, SPORT claims that Alvarez remains the club’s primary target and believes a deal is feasible.
If Osimhen does, in fact, join Barca, it would likely benefit Arsenal’s pursuit of the Argentinian.
"Only an absolutely unexpected turn in the Julián Álvarez transfer would open the door to exploring alternatives like Osimhen," the report states.
"Something that seems extremely unlikely, if not impossible."
What has Mikel Arteta said about Arsenal’s summer dealings?
After Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to PSG on May 30, Arteta called on the club’s hierarchy to be “ambition and smart” this summer.
"First of all, I will take a few days with my family and then we will start the process to review what we have done," he said. "We will have to start making some very important decisions if we want to reach another level.
"We are going to have to show that ambition because we are more than capable of doing it, but it is going to demand us to be very ambitious, very fast and very smart."
