A huge update regarding the ongoing transfer saga involving Alexander Isak has dropped ahead of Newcastle United's match against Leeds United.
Over the last few weeks, Isak, 25, has constantly been linked with a move away from St. James' Park.
Throughout the summer, the Magpies have always maintained the stance that the Swedish international was not for sale.
However, in a bid to push through with a move, Isak himself took to social media to release a statement, stating 'promises' were broken.

Earlier in the summer, Liverpool had a bid rejected but could now return with an improved offer.
This is because Newcastle recently completed the signing of Nick Woltemade from German Bundesliga side Stuttgart, which could potentially pave the way for Isak to leave.
Ahead of Newcastle's Premier League clash against Leeds on Saturday evening, a big update on the transfer saga was delivered.
Taking to social media, journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft claimed that Isak to Liverpool is done and is likely to happen very soon.

He wrote on X: "Re: Alexander Isak. Understand Isak - deal is done Newcastle away at Leeds tonight, so nothing expected before that I am told.
"Fee will be £130m. Isak to Liverpool likely to happen very soon."

What has Eddie Howe said about the Alexander Isak transfer saga?
Magpies boss Eddie Howe was asked this week whether the saga is out of his control, he replied: "That is where I have been for a long time with the Alex situation because it will be detrimental for me to invest any more time with that situation when I have 25/30 players needing every ounce of energy and time.

"And the team needs me to focus on trying to get results, that is what I have tried to do."
Howe added: "Other people are dealing with that situation for me, it has been: 'Let me focus on the players are playing and can influence other results'.
"For me as soon as the season starts and the action begins you are into a totally different place. It is hard enough to do it against all the other distractions we have faced this summer, but I think the players have faced that really well."
