Tottenham Hotspur have announced they will host their first-ever Premier League/Women’s Super League double-header this month.

On Saturday 20 May, Spurs are due to host Brentford in the Premier League at 12:30pm, with the Spurs Women taking on Reading Women at 4:15pm.

Spurs announced their decision with a statement that read: “The Club is delighted to confirm we shall host our first-ever Premier League / Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) double-header at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 20 May.

“Our final home WSL fixture of the season against Reading Women - previously scheduled for Sunday 21 May, 2pm at Brisbane Road - has now been brought forward a day to take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, kick-off 4.15pm. As a result, the match will now follow our final home Premier League game of the season against Brentford, kick-off 12.30pm.”

The club also announced that anyone with tickets for Spurs vs Brentford will be able to stay and watch the WSL fixtures.

Spurs described this as an opportunity to give ‘regular followers of our Men’s team a fantastic opportunity to make a day of it at the stadium and show their support for Spurs Women in what is set to be a crucial match in the fight for top-flight survival’.

There are currently three points between Reading Women and Spurs Women as the WSL season edges ever closer to its conclusion.
