There's a step at Reading's stadium that absolutely everyone seems to fall over.

A compilation of Royals fans having major difficulty with one particular step at the Select Car Leasing Stadium has gone viral on social media.

The actual clip is from 2015 when one fan documented a slew of different people tripping over the exact same step on row 'S' in the West Stand of the ground.

We're talking a good four or five people, with an array of different footwear, nearly ending up on their backsides as they walk up the steps.

It's emerged that the step is actually slightly higher than the rest and it regularly catches people out.

Reading fans Will Jennings and Marcus Shah were quick to spot the step struggles many of their fellow supporters were going through and got the camera out to film utter gold.

Will's dad is one of a host of fans to fall victim to the steps of doom, and plenty of supporters have spilt food and drink during their troubles.

“I’ve sat up there in the West Stand for a number of years now and seen many people trip up on the S step," he told GetReading.

"Like true loyal Royals, we decided to sit up close to the away fans.

What I subsequently found out is that we sit right by the infamous 'S Step'

“Now, I see this other video from the stadium going round and felt some of my own videos might be of interest.

“My dad has come a cropper a couple of times, and one guy threw hot coffee into his face.

"You often see a big pile of chips on the S step where people have tripped.

"And to be honest, it's much more entertaining than any of the football recently."

It could be a lot worse though. Anyone who has been to an away game against Newcastle United will know that the away end at St James' Park is a serious mooch.

There's a ridiculous climb of 14 flights of stairs totalling 140 steps to get to that section and it's a great bit of activity if you want to meet your steps target on your Apple watch.
