Throwback To The Time Joe Hart Turned Into Usain Bolt

Throwback To The Time Joe Hart Turned Into Usain Bolt

Lightning pace.

Joe Hart's pace rating on FIFA Ultimate Team should probably be upped significantly as clearly the head honchos have never seen the following clip.

Back in 2008, playing in a Manchester derby against Manchester United, the England shot-stopper turned into Usain Bolt, Tyson Gay and Ousmane Dembele rolled into one and it was absolutely mental.

Look at the speed he generates to get all the back from a corner!

Not many people knew the Shrewsbury Town youth product had that in his locker.

Hart, 21 at the time and on his way to establishing himself as City's first-choice in between the sticks, showed he's anything but a slouch in the game between City and United on 30 November 2008.

Wayne Rooney scored his 100th goal in club football just before half-time and it proved to be the difference between the two sides - though Rooney would have had a second had Hart not entered turbo mode, much like on Mario Kart, in the dying minutes of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in bizarre fashion 20 minutes from time, earning a second yellow after clearly handling the ball from a corner and believing that his team were due a penalty for a push.

The extra man advantage gave City the initiative and they piled on the pressure late on. Richard Dunne had an effort cleared off the line late on, and as City went in search of the all-important equaliser, Hart came up for a corner and tried to cause a bit of chaos.

But the move broke down, allowing United to break with Giggs, who fed Rooney on the break. From just inside the City half, the former Everton man was quick to spot an open goal and promptly attempted to lob the ball into the empty net.

His effort was sublimely timed and accurate, but Hart, in a foot-race with Shaun Wright-Philips to see who could get back the quickest, managed to race back to his goal and just about palm away the strike in stunning fashion.

Hart is rated 59 for his speed on FIFA 17, but we reckon EA might need to do some re-evaluating.
