Scott McTominay couldn't have asked for a better introduction to life in Italian football but a shock bid is reportedly in the works to take him away from Napoli.
McTominay settled in beautifully in Naples and Serie A, earning iconic status almost overnight and ending the season as the Italian top division's MVP.
Only Romelu Lukaku scored more goals for the Partenopei as they won their fourth Scudetto by virtue of McTominay's clever volley in the last game of the season.

The former Manchester United midfielder has been taken to Napoli's heart and was hailed as a 'genius' by the Italian sports media, who immediately recognised his impact in Antonio Conte's team.
The booming reception that met his name when the new league champions were reintroduced to the Diego Maradona faithful before they lifted the trophy said it all.
But McTominay, who left Old Trafford last summer after more than 20 years on Man Utd's books for a reported fee of £25.7m, is in higher demand than ever after his sparkling Serie A campaign.

Alfredo Padula reports that Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal, one of the handful of clubs majority owned by the Saudi state's Public Investment Fund, want the 28-year-old Lancastrian to join Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in their midfield.
Al Hilal head coach Simone Inzaghi knows McTominay's capabilities only too well. The former Lazio striker was in charge at Inter Milan as they finished second behind Napoli in a dramatic title race in 2024-25.
Napoli slapped down Al Hilal's interest and it would have been more of a surprise if they hadn't. The Scotland international has three years left on his contract and proved his importance beyond doubt last season.

It's unlikely that the player would have had any interest in a move. He and Napoli appear to be the perfect fit after years of being underrated as a Man Utd player.
Al Hilal finished second in the Saudi Pro League, eight points behind winners Al Ittihad.
Inzaghi was appointed to replace Jorge Jesus in time for the Club World Cup, where Al Hilal are Saudi Arabia's sole representatives.
They face a crucial second group fixture against Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday after starting with a draw against Real Madrid in Miami.
