Scotland fans have slammed Andy Robertson for 'boozing' at Liverpool's parade ahead of their crucial World Cup semi-final play-off match.

Liverpool held an open-top bus parade on Sunday to celebrate their EFL Cup and FA Cup triumphs.

To the Liverpool fans in Paris, what happened to you was disgraceful. You deserve so much better and now answers must follow. Hope you all got home safe ❤️ pic.twitter.com/ix24OzEBi2

Thousands of fans lined the streets to celebrate the club's success this season, creating an incredible atmosphere in the city.

The Liverpool team and coaching staff enjoyed themselves, including Robertson who was filmed with a beer in his hand on the bus.

But his decision to drink alcohol ahead of his national team's big match against Ukraine came under scrutiny by some Scotland fans on social media.

Robertson needs to perform Wednesday.

I don’t blame the boy, he’s played about 3 thousand games this season and he’s gonna come with Scotland to play 3/4 more in a short space of time instead of getting his holidays.

But he needs a huge performance especially now. https://t.co/Piz1dc0EUR

Andy Robertson is doing an open top bus parade for a carabao cup instead of joining the Scotland camp for a semi final a few days away.

Andy Robertson getting onit and boozing with the Liverpool team to celebrate winning 2 cups instead of getting himself ready for a massive game for Scotland on Wednesday is embarrassing btw.

You’ll get folk who defend him but as captain that’s pathetic.

Really isn’t a good look for Robertson. Huge game for Scotland coming up and he’s a few hours down the road getting onit. https://t.co/dzZn71HvdM

Big fan of Andy Robertson and everything he has done for Scotland. However this is not really acceptable for a Scotland captain 3 days before one of the biggest games in recent history. Better put in a big performance on Wednesday night. https://t.co/7vezcqBudq

However, some people also defended Robertson's actions.

One tweeted: "Folk absolutely raging Robbo isn't in Scotland training. The man just finished a 63 match season. Give him a f**king break."

A second wrote: "The quote retweets on this is absolute mental. Yes he’s captain for Scotland and we’ve got a big game coming up. But am sure plenty of other folk have went to work in a worst nick compared to him."

Scotland face Ukraine on Wednesday at Hampden Park, with the winners in line to take on Wales for a spot at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
