Al Hilal fans rinsed Al Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo and chanted for rival Lionel Messi but were made to look a little silly after the Arab Club Champions Cup final result.

The two sides met in the showpiece at the King Fahd Stadium on Saturday, with Al Hilal going 1-0 up through Brazilian Michael, who rubbed salt in the wounds by performing the 'SIUUU' celebration.

But the club's fans were also rinsing the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. In footage which has been doing the rounds on social media, one supporter in the stands could be seen calling Ronaldo "an old guy" and effectively branding him "washed".

Another said that Michael was doing "the real Siuuu" after he opened the scoring, while supporters were loudly chanting for Messi, who did have a mammoth offer on the table from Al Hilal prior to his switch for Inter Miami.

However, as the video shows, it was Ronaldo who had the last laugh. He bagged a brace, including a 98th minute winner, to win a first trophy since joining Al Nassr.

Although he was forced off with a knee injury, Ronaldo was well enough to lift the prize and collect the top scorer award after the 2-1 win.

Al Hilal's fans should have known better than to come up with such disrespect before the clash.

Ronaldo was involved in a controversial moment during the game when he appeared to wipe his sweat on defender Ali Al-Bulaih when he was marking him on a set-piece.

The 38-year-old missed the opening weekend defeat to Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq and Al Nassr fans will be hoping he is back for the game against Al Taawoun on Friday.

The next slated meeting between Al Nassr and Al Hilal will take place on 30 November and could see a reunion between Ronaldo and Neymar after the Brazilian completed a £77.6 million switch to Saudi Arabia's most successful club.
