Saudi Arabia fans trolled Argentina fans and Lionel Messi by performing Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIUU' celebration after the famous 2-1 World Cup win.

Mess, who is actually paid to be an ambassador for Saudi Arabia, opened the scoring early on with a 10th minute penalty that saw him pull level with Ronaldo on seven World Cup goals across four tournaments.

But Herve Renard's side, with their insane high line and pressing, turned the game on its head straight after half-time with two goals in quick succession.

Saleh Al-Shehri skinned Cristian Romero to equalise in the 48th minute and five minutes later the Lusail Stadium erupted when Salem Al-Dawsari's curling effort beat Emiliano Martinez.

Despite a whole lot of added time and a sickening injury suffered by Yasser Al-Shahrani late on taking us to the 103rd minute, the Green Falcons held on to end Argentina's 36-game unbeaten run and record one of the most shocking upsets in World Cup history.

The Saudi supporters travelled in their numbers and created a special atmosphere inside the ground. Outside the stadium, a viral video showed a group of fans rubbing salt in the wounds.

They all did the 'SIUU' - Ronaldo's iconic celebration - right in front of Argentina supporters just minutes after the Group C clash.

Portugal superstar Ronaldo has changed his celebration up in recent times and gone for a finger-locking gesture, but Messi's long-time rival will always be associated with the SIUU.

Another video posted showed some fans chanting 'Viva Ronaldo' in the stands.

One Saudi fan caused a stir on social media by wearing his country's shirt with 'Messi 10' on the back and being everything what is wrong with modern football.

He might just want to get Al-Dawsari's name instead after his heroics on Tuesday.

Messi and Argentina will look to get back to winning ways against Mexico on Saturday, hours after Saudi Arabia's clash with Poland.
