Cristiano Ronaldo left commentators stunned with his reaction after he was substituted for Portugal against Croatia in Toronto.
Ronaldo finally scored his first ever World Cup knockout goal in the round of 32 clash, equalising for Portugal with a 68th minute and becoming the oldest ever goalscorer in the second phase of the competition.
But with the scores level at 1-1, Roberto Martinez made the surprise decision to replace the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in the 81st minute.
Ruben Neves was brought on to add extra control in midfield and Portugal reverted to having one striker up top in Paris Saint Germain's Goncalo Ramos.

As expected, the 41-year-old did not look happy when is No.7 flashed up on the fourth official's board and his facial expression was priceless.
On BBC's coverage, Jonathan Pearce announced Ronaldo's withdrawal as fans inside BMO Field jeered before co-commentator Stephen Warnock observed the former Real Madrid man's muttering and body language.
Warnock said: "He's not happy! He's not happy at all.
"Take the name out of it, it is the right decision. Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't affected the game enough. Yes, he scored the penalty. The link-up play, the pressing, it is not there from him.
"For the good of the team, that is what Roberto Martinez has to think about. You have got to put your ego aside and think of the bigger picture."

Ronaldo did embrace Neves as he exited the pitch before shaking hands with Martinez and taking place on the bench. At the time, it looked as though the Al Nassr star could have played his final ever game at a World Cup.
But Ramos came up with heroics in the 94th minute, heading home a glorious Rafael Leao cross.
Croatia looked to have levelled in the 13th minute of stoppage time but the last-gasp strike from Josko Gvardiol was ruled out because Mario Pasalic was in an offside position.
Portugal defender Renato Veiga had played the ball before it came to Pasalic but central to the overturning was the involvement of striker Igor Matanovic.
While he looked to have missed his header, FIFA confirmed sensors in the Adidas Trionda ball detected a slight touch from Matanovic - therefore making Pasalic offside and causing the goal to be chalked off.
Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence after sister 'announces' retirement
Ronaldo was very much involved in the celebrations after Portugal's passage was secured and he sported a Diogo Jota shirt in a tribute to his late teammate on the anniversary of his death.
Prior to the Croatia win, Ronaldo's sister Katia Aveiro dropped a bombshell when she said the ex Manchester United man would retire from international football after his "last dance".
“Enjoy it while it lasts," Aveiro said.
"It's ending soon. The info I have, from a reliable source… this is his last dance.
“I believe it’s not today that they’ll say goodbye, but it’s coming soon. I strongly believe this is the farewell."
She added: “So enjoy it a lot because it will be difficult to find someone after 200 goals. I’m talking about the Portuguese national team."
Speaking after the game, Ronaldo said that his future is "not what matters at this moment” and he will "talk about it later".
Ronaldo explained he will "speak with my family" before making his decision.
He and Portugal take on Spain in the round of 16 on Monday in Arlington, Texas - with Ronaldo looking to add to his 146 goals in international football.
