Ryan Reynolds sends Rob Mcelhenney birthday present in form of a ridiculous song

Ryan Reynolds sends Rob Mcelhenney birthday present in form of a ridiculous song

Reynolds found a brilliant way to celebrate his fellow Wrexham owner, Mcelhenney, birthday with cameos from plenty of recognisable people.

Ryan Reynolds used all his Hollywood razzmatazz to send the perfect birthday present to fellow Wrexham AFC co-owner Rob Mcelhenney.

It's fair to say Reynolds is having a lot of fun as Wrexham co-owner, even if last Monday wasn't necessarily the most fun experience until the final whistle.

In perhaps the National League's biggest ever game, the Welsh side were saved by goalkeeper Ben Foster, who stopped a Notts County penalty in injury time, to secure a 3-2 win for his side.

Both clubs went into the game level on 100 points, and with just one automatic promotion spot, something the Deadpool actor isn't happy with, it was a huge win for the Red Dragons.

Just days later, and the 46-year-old has sent Mcelhenney the most hilarious birthday present possible, composing a Broadway-esque song to explain to people how to pronounce the Always Sunny in Philadelphia star's name, as you can see below.

Mcelhenney is arguably the less famous of the pair, and it seems that not everyone has been able to pronounce his name in recent months.

The video shares some examples of presenters and Member of Parliament in the UK managing to get it wrong, but they soon won't have an excuse with that mistake.

There is also clips from Always Sunny interspersed within the video, including Mac's emotional dance to his father in order to come out, one of the greatest scenes in the show's history.

Of course, no video about Mac would be complete without cameos from Dee, Mcelhenney's real life wife Kaitlin Olson, as well as co-stars Glenn Howerton, Dennis, and Charlie Day, Charlie Kelly.

Reynolds replied to his own ingenuous post to say, " Would be a real shame if this became a Wrexham Racecourse chant," and we hope to hear it when they face Barnet on Saturday.

"Why is this song so good? It's just supposed to be for fun... isn't it? And here I am listening to it again!," one fan said of the video.

"Well now this is going to be in my head for the rest of the day isn’t it," added a second.

A third summed up the friendship perfectly, saying, "I’ve said for many years if I won the lottery I’d dedicate a large part of my free time and net worth to winding my friends up. I love seeing you guys fulfil that dream."

"This deserves a Grammy and a Juno. Goddamnit, I'm gonna be singing this all week now along with Super Ben Foster in Goal," claimed another.

"Man, my friends are slacking. Birthday expectations bar has just be risen," joked a fifth.

"This video cleared up so much confusion. Thank you," replied a very grateful sixth fan.

In one of the greatest compliments ever, another summed it up perfectly, claiming, "From the time the internet was first invented , this is the moment and the video that that the whole thing has been waiting for! AMAZING!"

Reynolds' birthday isn't until October, for anyone holding their breath for the response.
