Never forget the replies when Liverpool reached an agreement with Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in 2017.
A few eyebrows were raised when it was announced that Van Dijk would join the Reds in a transfer worth £75m - a then world record fee in football for a defender.
His signing didn't go down too well on social media with some football fans slamming the monstrous deal.
Supporters criticised the fee and dismissed claims Van Dijk was a top player.

One Twitter user wrote: "hahahahaha poor man's Rob Holding."
A second tweeted: "£75 million? seriously - considering the defences issues we have, I hope this amount has been worth it but time will tell."
A third added: "Waste of money."

Another wrote: "£75 million really? I could understand if he was world class. Plus if he was he wouldn't be signing for Liverpool."
These aged badly. Very badly.
Of course, Van Dijk has since become one of the world's best defenders and has won almost every major trophy during his time at Liverpool.
He was colossus at the back as Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and would play a key role in their Premier League title victory in the 2019-20 campaign.

Van Dijk, who turned 31 on Friday, has since gone on to win the Club World Cup, FA Cup and EFL Cup while at Anfield.
Money certainly well spent.
