SB Frankfort under 12 All-Girls team were stuck in a difficult position when they had nobody to play on a weekend.
But all that changed when they decided to join the local DJM boys league.
In the coming weeks, they would continue to prove their doubters wrong, picking up win after win before eventually becoming champions with two games left of the season.
Great performance against SB Frankfort, playing some great football. A quick start saw the girls take the game away from SB. But a strong second half performance from SB made the girls work for the 3 points.

SB Frankfort, coached by James Brown-Tunnell, have so far picked up 13 wins out of 16, recording draws in the other three in an unprecedented unbeaten campaign.
And the boss has praised the girls for proving they deserve to play against boys on a weekly basis:
"This is a fantastic achievement for the whole squad. Everyone has played their part this season." Tunnell told Plymouth Live.
"This has been four years in the making and I couldn't be happier. The main aim by joining the boys league was for the girls to be challenged, so it's amazing to end up league winners.
"There may have been doubters, but the girls have proved they deserve to play against boys on a weekly basis.
"We have two league games left and we will approach them the same way. Our aim is to stay undefeated and then move on to the league cup final on the 12th May.
"Thanks to all the parents and my wife Gemma for their support, it's a team effort from everyone."
