People Are Confused About What Phil Neville Has Said About Xherdan Shaqiri

People Are Confused About What Phil Neville Has Said About Xherdan Shaqiri

Xherdan Shaqiri is Switzerland's best player but Phil Neville doesn't rate him. Even calling the winger a disgrace following his season with Stoke City.

Switzerland are pinning their hopes on Shaqiri to steer their side to the World Cup quarter-finals.

And prior to kick-off against Sweden, Neville sounded off on the diminutive wizard by hollering some disparaging words.

"Shaqiri was a disgrace for Stoke, last season," he said on BBC.

That's despite Shaqiri weighing in with the most goals for the club in the 2017/18 Premier League campaign, while only one player created more goals than him.

But still a disgrace according to Neville. Strange assessment, Phil.
