Punter Wins Whopping $45,000 After Real Madrid Bet 15 SECONDS Before Their Stunning Comeback

A punter managed to win $45,000 after betting on Real Madrid to beat Manchester City - 15 SECONDS before Rodrygo's first goal of the game.

Madrid qualified for the Champions League final in dramatic fashion on Wednesday evening, running out 3-1 winners on the night and 6-5 on aggregate in extra time.

City took the lead through Riyad Mahrez and looked relatively comfortable throughout, managing to stifle Madrid's attack.

The Santiago Bernabeu came unglued in the 90th minute however as Rodrygo made it 1-1 and brought Los Blancos within one goal of extra time.

One Caesars Sport bettor must've known what was coming. He whacked $1000 on Madrid to beat City in regulation time, without need of a penalty shootout, and advance to the final.

It'd be Rodrygo who took the game to extra time with a header before Karim Benzema sent Ederson the wrong way with a decisive penalty after being fouled by Ruben Dias.

You'd retire from betting after that. Nothing will ever top it.

Madrid will now face Liverpool in Paris later this month as they look to win their 14th European Cup.

City won the first leg 4-3 last week and were favourites going into the game, given their domestic form and gritty performance at Atletico Madrid in the last round.

Manager Pep Guardiola picked the strongest side available to him after being accused of 'overthinking' games at this stage of the competition.

But it wasn't enough and City's wait for a Champions League win goes on.

They're only one point clear of Liverpool in the Premier League and focus must switch back to that with four games remaining.

Guardiola admitted it'll take a few days for his player to get over an emotionally draining 120 minutes in the Spanish capital.

"We need one or two days but we will rise, we will come up," he told reporters post-match.

"We will have do so, with our people. We did everything we could. We were really, really close but in the end we could not do it."

City return to action on Sunday afternoon against Newcastle United.

Madrid, meanwhile, can put all their focus on that huge final after wrapping up the La Liga title last weekend.
