Viewers were stunned by a decision Sky Sports made in their coverage of Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest after the home fans' unsavoury chants about UEFA and Evangelos Marinakis.
Punished by UEFA for breaching multi-club ownership rules because American businessman John Textor had a 43 per cent stake in the Eagles as well as being the majority owner of Lyon, Palace were demoted to the Conference League after winning the FA Cup.
An appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) was unsuccessful and Palace were in Conference League play-off action on Thursday when they hosted Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK.

Forest, who finished seventh in the Premier League, replaced Palace in the Europa League as a result.
In a fiery statement following the UEFA verdict, Palace appeared to aim a dig at Forest when they said, "It appears that certain clubs, organisations and individuals have a unique privilege and power".
On Sunday, in their first home game of the season, Palace fans made their feelings clear with expletive-filled songs bout UEFA and Forest owner Marinakis - as well as dedicating a banner to the Greek.
The chants were audible on Sky Sports but those watching couldn't believe the pans to the crowd and the fact there was no apology for colourful language as is standard practice.

Forest infamously banned Sky Sports commentator and pundit Gary Neville from the City Ground last season after comments he made about Marinakis and the club.

One fan on X said: "Why did sky tv pan to the crowd when they were singing anti Marinakis songs? Do they ever do that in other situations?"
A second added: "It does surprise me they did with the words, they usually cut away from that stuff and show fans chanting when it's not offensive language!"

A third added: "Enjoying Sky's decision to focus on the very colourful Palace chant about UEFA and Marinakis."
A fourth asked: "Why haven’t Sky apologised for the naughty language being used against Mr Marinakis yet."
A final user fumed: "Isn't that amazing sky zooming in with the fans singing f**k Marinakis, normal try to mute the bad language shame on you."
On the pitch, Ismaila Sarr opened the scoring by putting Palace 1-0 up at the end of the first half.

It is not known whether Marinakis, said to be at odds with Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, is in attendance for the game at Selhurst Park.
