Premier League viewers have received a £1,000 fine warning ahead of Amazon Prime Video's fixtures this week.

There are a huge set of games in the English top flight in midweek, with action taking place from Tuesday to Thursday. It all kicks off with Ipswich vs Crystal Palace at 19:30 on Tuesday and is concluded with Bournemouth's visit of Spurs two days later.

The pick of the fixtures is undoubtedly Arsenal's clash with Manchester United on Wednesday, kicking off at 20:15 at the Emirates. All ten games will be shown live on Amazon Prime as part of their TV deal,

Those with a Prime subscription can tune in for no extra cost. However, a warning has been issued as all viewers must have a TV licence in order to consume the content as the matches are live events and not just programmes on streaming services.

TV licences cost £169.50 per year and anyone watching football live on Amazon Prime risks a £1,000 fine, with covert surveillance deployed to catch out those not paying for it.

"You could be prosecuted if we find that you have been watching, recording or downloading programmes illegally. The maximum penalty is a £1,000 fine plus any legal costs and/or compensation you may be ordered to pay," TV Licensing says, as per LADbible.

We have a database of approximately 31 million licensed and unlicensed addresses. This tells us if your address has a TV Licence.

"All our visiting officers have access to this database. This means they can check if you have a licence or not. If you tell us that you do not need a TV Licence ,our officers may still visit you to confirm this."

Amazon Prime also have games over the Christmas period, showing all the Premier League football on the 26 and 27 December.
