Morgan Gibbs-White took to social media to share a gruesome image of his face after a brutal injury in Nottingham Forest's 3-1 win over Chelsea.
Forest's surprise win at Stamford Bridge moves them six points clear of West Ham in the relegation zone with just three matches remaining, meaning they may be able to focus on achieving European glory in the Europa League.
However, they may be without their captain for the return leg of the semi-final after Morgan Gibbs-White suffered a gruesome injury during the victory over Chelsea.
The England international entered the game at half-time and assisted the third goal for Forest, but he would be withdrawn from the match in the 66th minute after a clash with Robert Sanchez.

Now, Gibbs-White has shared a graphic photo of the deep cut above his right eye after his collision with the Spaniard.
Gibbs-White needed stitches for the nasty injury, while Sanchez also picked up a cut on his forehead following their huge collision in the match.
He appeared in fine form after the match as he shared the image on Instagram giving a thumbs-up despite the visible damage and sent a positive message to Taiwo Awoniyi, the player he assisted in the game.

Robert Sanchez responds to the clash with Morgan Gibbs-White
The Chelsea goalkeeper was also unable to continue after this clash with the Nottingham Forest captain, but he seems to be in fine spirits after he took to social media.
Sanchez was replaced at the same time as Gibbs-White, but he appears to have gotten off lighter from the pair as seen in the image he posted to Instagram.
The Spaniard found the funny side of the injury, with his looking a lot better than the facial injury suffered by Gibbs-White, as his cut is significantly smaller and on his forehead.

Sanchez said: “Seen that you came out worst than me, hope you are ok big man @morgangibbswhite."
It was a playful but caring message which Gibbs-White may have appreciated due to the nature in which he posted his injury earlier in the night after helping his side secure the victory and potentially their place in the Premier League for another season.
