
The Premier League fixtures for the 2026-27 season have been released and Arsenal have learned the key dates in their title defence.
Premier League football has been on the back burner with all eyes on the World Cup but club football is the game's bread and butter.
Fans of the division's 20 clubs, including promoted sides Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City, can now begin to plan for the season ahead.
Arsenal are aiming to win back-to-back league titles for the first time since the 1930s. They'll start at home against Coventry on Friday 21 August and will face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on the final day of the season.
Key Premier League 2026-27 dates
Because of the World Cup, the new season will start a week later than 2025-26, beginning on the weekend of Saturday 22 August.

The last day of the season is Sunday 30 May, when all 10 Premier League fixtures will be played concurrently.
There will be three international breaks; 2026-27 is the first season punctuated by the new, longer break between 21 September and 6 October, followed by standard two-game breaks in November and March.
Standout Premier League 2026-27 fixtures
Last season's top two will meet at the Emirates on (or around) 28 November, with the reverse fixture between Manchester City and Arsenal scheduled for 30 January.
The always entertaining games between Liverpool and Manchester United will take place at Anfield on 21 November and Old Trafford on 23 January.
Manchester derbies are slated for 12 September at Man Utd and 30 March and Man City, while Liverpool host City on 3 October and visit the Etihad Stadium on 8 May.
