Jordan Henderson wants to leave Ajax in the summer transfer window, according to reports, with two clubs said to be interested in the former Liverpool and Sunderland midfielder.
The 34-year-old, who joined Ajax in January last year following a short-lived spell in the Saudi Pro League with Al Ettifaq, made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie side this season.
He played regular first-team minutes under Francesco Farioli, but after the manager resigned from his post after one of the most dramatic title-race collapses in recent memory, Henderson looks set to follow him out of the door.

So, which clubs are interested? Scottish Premiership side Rangers are keen, according to De Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij, who claims Steven Gerrard would like to add Henderson to his ranks again if he makes a return to Ibrox.
"Steven Gerrard is said to be the new manager there and he would like to bring Henderson over there," said Verweij, as per Voetbal Zone.
Premier League new boys Sunderland are also said to be interested in their former player, who was in attendance at Wembley this month as they recorded a 2-1 win over Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final.

Verweij mentioned the Black Cats as he discussed the details behind his potential departure from the Johan Cruyff Arena.
“Sunderland is his old club and of course he wasn’t in the stands for nothing," he added. "Ajax wants to get rid of his salary, that is one of the conflicts between the Ajax management and Francesco Farioli.
“Farioli really wanted to keep him, Ajax wanted to get rid of his salary. I think now that Farioli is gone, Henderson wants to leave too. He felt a lot of confidence. I think the road to one of those two clubs is open.”

Earlier this week, former Sunderland striker Niall Quinn tipped the midfielder to make a fairytale return to the Stadium of Light.
"Well, I had it from the day Jordan left and Liverpool paid us £20 million back in the day that there was a big wide door open for him any time he wanted to come back," he told talkSPORT.
"Obviously, it's not my business to do anything but just comment on that. But wouldn't it be something else? I think he's been a credit to the game, his hard work and his team play. He's a real sort of driver.
"He went up to Liverpool, that first year was really tough and a year later, Jordan turned it all around and he was a huge influence.

"To see him lift that Champions League trophy, I think made everybody in Sunderland very proud."
Henderson left boyhood club Sunderland in 2011 to join Liverpool, where he lifted the Premier League and Champions League during a successful 12-year stint.
