Jamie Vardy has broken his silence after he pulled off a hilarious stunt during Leicester City vs. Southampton.
Leicester beat Southampton 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Vardy opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Jordan Ayew added a second just before the break.
But the game's main talking point was when match referee David Webb hit the floor after being accidentally shoulder barged by Ayew.
Needless to say, Vardy had to get involved.
As Webb clutched his face on the floor, the 38-year-old ran over to the stricken referee and blew his whistle to halt a Southampton attack.
Speaking to Gary Lineker on Match of the Day, Vardy explained why he blew the referee's whistle.
"I saw Southampton breaking down the left and with the ref down I thought I'll blow his whistle to stop the game," he said with a smile.
Vardy was clearly enjoying himself as he plays out the final games of his Leicester career.
His goal against the Saints brought up the 199th of his Leicester career as he aims for the 200 mark before leaving the club at the end of the season.

"It's been mine and my family's life for 13 years. We've been taken in by the fans and the whole city, and it has meant every single thing to me personally.
"When it's been your life for that long and you see the camaraderie with the fans and my team-mates for the last 13 years, it's been unbelievable."
Leicester, who have already been relegated from the Premier League, return to league action against Nottingham Forest before facing Ipswich Town and Bournemouth.
Vardy will have his sights on reaching 200 Leicester goals before walking away from the club that he has been at since 2012.
