Sunderland midfielder Enzo Le Fee missed an attempted panenka penalty during his side's Premier League clash against Brentford - and the commentator could barely believe it.
The Black Cats were 1-0 down in the second half at the Gtech Community Stadium when they won a spot kick.
Le Fee, who joined Sunderland on a permanent deal from Roma in the summer, stepped up to take it, and attempted to chip the ball down the middle of the goal.
But Brentford goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher didn't dive, with the ball dropping straight into his gloves.
Commentator Gary Taphouse reacted by shouting: "What was that?
Advert
"That is absolutely extraordinary. Catching practice for Kelleher."
His co-commentator described the penalty as 'audacious', but furious Sunderland fans didn't quite adopt the same tone.
One Black Cats supporter described Le Fee as 'arrogant' and another called the penalty attempt 'ridiculous'.
One wrote: "I'd make Le Fee walk home."
A second said: "Disgraceful from Le Fee, you just cannot do that in a PL game let alone playing for Sunderland, f***ing ridiculous."
A third fumed: "Well that was possibly the most ridiculous penalty I've seen, thanks Enzo Le Fee."
While a fourth stated: "Trying a panenka against a keeper who has saved pens against Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Kylian Mbappe to name a few is absolutely bonkers."
And a fifth wrote: "That's just f***ing arrogance from Le Fee shouldn't take another pen for us. Absolutely s***e."
Le Fee and Sunderland's misery was compounded minutes later, as Igor Thiago extended Brentford's lead to 2-0 with his second goal of the game.
Midfielder Yehor Yarmolyuk then made it 3-0 on 73 minutes with his first goal at professional level.
Keith Andrews' side will extend their Premier League unbeaten run to six matches with victory, with the Bees set to end the evening in the top six places of the table.
