Chelsea's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang branded a 'clown' over 'strange' advert to promo Arsenal clash

Aubameyang will come up against his former club Arsenal on Sunday.

Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has fired a warning at former club Arsenal during a BT Sport promotional advert.

The two London clubs face off in a highly-anticipated derby this weekend in the Premier League, with Aubameyang in line face his former side.

There's plenty on the line when the two meet this weekend, with Arsenal hoping to remain at the top of the league following their great start, whilst Chelsea can't afford to lose more ground after a shaky run run of form.

Tensions may be higher as a result and even more so following the Gabon international's tongue-in-cheek appearance on the short advert.

Of course, it will be the first time that Aubameyang has faced his former side since manager Mikel Arteta stripped him of his captaincy and terminated his contract before he joined Barcelona in January of this year.

In response, the striker showed he's raring to go for the game at the weekend as he was filmed for BT Sport saying: "Arsenal, nothing personal. I'm back, I'm blue, I'm ready. Let's go."

Given that in the past, Arteta has been known to use tweets and other parts of the media to inspire and motivate his players - he may do the same here.

It was revealed as part of the Amazon documentary series 'All or Nothing: Arsenal' that he had used Ivan Toney's tweet to fire his players up - it was a tweet that read "Nice kick about with the boys".

Having watched the documentary and seeing the Spaniard's unorthodox methods, we wouldn't be surprised if the players are in the changing rooms watching that video before kick-off.

Aubameyang also made comments about Arteta's ability to deal with top players in a leaked video last month, claiming he "can't deal with big characters".

Reactions surrounding this latest entry have differed depending on whether you are an Arsenal or Chelsea fan, or just a neutral.

One Arsenal supporter passionately wrote on Twitter: "And some of you still wanna show respect to Aubameyang, na mate, not me, he hasn't shown us any respect, not in his last season at Arsenal or the way he left, man's a clown, Chelsea are welcome to him."

Whilst a Chelsea fan wrote: "Aubameyang wants the smoke!"

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has questioned Aubayemang's appearance in the advert.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: "I am surprised and I reckon BT Sport will have been buzzing to get him to say those words because it adds more spice to the game and more viewers, of course.

"It's very strange, I think. You don't need to do that. I'd never have done that. These things seem to work against you. I think it's a silly thing to do and he could regret that."
