Real Madrid have reached an "informal agreement" to sign Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea when his contract expires in the summer.

Rudiger's brother, Sahr Senesie, who also works as his agent, reportedly met with representatives from the Spanish giants a few weeks ago, according to The Independent.

But despite agreeing terms on a proposed move, nothing has been signed yet, leaving the door open for Bayern Munich, who are also keen to sign the Germany international after meeting with Senesie.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are the two English clubs with an interest in Rudiger, but it is understood that the 28-year-old would prefer to move abroad.

The centre-back joined the Blues from AS Roma for an initial fee of £29million in July 2017, and is enjoying a successful spell in west London.

He's won four major honours at the club, including the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and the FA Cup.

Rudiger has been in stellar form this campaign, making 20 appearances across all competitions and scoring in the Premier League matches against Tottenham and Leicester City.

For now, his focus will be on a Champions League match away at Zenit St. Petersburg on Wednesday, before Thomas Tuchel's men host Leeds United on Saturday.
