It's the year 2005 and a fresh-faced Harry Kane is snapped posing next to England international and national hero David Beckham. A pretty cool moment, right?

Kane, who spent his childhood years studying at Chingford Foundation School, bumped into the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder during a special visit when Beckham was visiting his old stomping ground.

But 16 years on, this picture has an even deeper meaning as he prepares to captain England in a European Championship final against Italy on Sunday night.

As you might well know, there's more to this image than meets the eye. The current England captain was just 11-years-old when he joined Beckham and schoolgirl Kate Goodland for the below picture.

Kate and Harry would eventually date during their school days and now, the pair are married with three kids.

The Spurs striker proposed to his long-term girlfriend on a family holiday in the Bahamas in 2017 and the couple celebrated the birth of their son Louis in December last year.

What a journey it has been for the childhood sweethearts.

Kane's wife, Kate, wrote an emotional letter to her husband ahead of the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

"H, you know I am not one to cry too easily but I found myself in tears when I started writing down how proud you're making us all and what you're doing for the country," she began.

"I use to laugh at you when we started going out and you'd be round at mine playing penalties with my brother Tom and Seamus the dog, and you'd say you would be England captain one day.

"But that's you - you set yourself a goal and you achieve it and you always said you were going to the Euros to get to the final."

She continued: "You're such an amazing husband and dad and the children can't wait to have you home.

"Imagine telling them all about this summer one day when they're a bit older. We all love you so much, Skipper.

"Bring it home for the country, you deserve to lift that trophy with this incredible England team!"

Can Kane lead his team to victory tonight?
