Liverpool held a 11 vs. 11 scenario training match ahead of the Premier League restart and the friendly clash got fans talking on social media.

Jurgen Klopp organised a game between his senior players at Anfield ahead of the planned resumption of England's top flight on June 17.

The Liverpool first team played against each other on Monday to prepare for their fixture against Everton on June 20.

The 'home' side wore the red kit while the 'away' side wore the black third kit.

The 'home' team included Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, who missed a couple of great chances.

The 'away' team featured Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, James Milner and Mohamed Salah.

The likes of Mane, Naby Keita and Curtis Jones looked very sharp and impressed fans online, but Firmino's showing didn't excite supporters.

Dejan Lovren also produced a howler at the back and fans didn't pull any punches on social media.

"Lovren dropping bollocks even in training," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted; "Some pretty awful finishing but the lads look good."

A third added: "Naby lad looking exceptionally sharp."

Meanwhile, league leaders Liverpool are just two wins away from clinching their first ever Premier League title.
