Remember Andrea Pirlo's chipped penalty against England? What about David Silva's sublime opening goal in the final against Italy? The European Championships in Poland and Ukraine were definitely memorable.

Well, England performed to their usual standards in international competition. The media branded the squad "behind the times both technically, tactically and mentally." - We cannot disagree with that statement.

Spain's Andres Iniesta was crowned the UEFA EURO 2012 Best player of the tournament while Vincent del Bosque lifted the trophy with the ever-impressive Spain.
