Fan placed massive 450/1 bet on Lionel Messi after Inter Miami move, now being offered huge cash out

Fan placed massive 450/1 bet on Lionel Messi after Inter Miami move, now being offered huge cash out

Lionel Messi's instant impact at Inter Miami could see a fan win a huge sum.

Lionel Messi's instant impact at Inter Miami could see one punter win big, with a mammoth cash-out already being offered.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has already proved to be a revelation across the pond, bringing in a whole new level of attention to the sport in the United States.

Shirt sales and viewing figures have been through the roof but Messi has more than backed up the hype with his performances on the pitch.

Messi has scored seven goals in four Leagues Cup games, including two outrageous late free-kicks.

The Argentine ace is yet to taste defeat in a Herons shirt, after an 85th minute dead-ball strike equaliser led to a penalty shoot-out win over FC Dallas.

The transformation on Inter has been monumental given the side were struggling under Phil Neville. One fan expected it though and a screenshot of his outrageous bet has been doing the rounds.

When Messi left Paris Saint-Germain and put pen to paper with David Beckham's franchise, @Bradm1nBets whacked a £50.00 bet on.

He tipped Messi to win the MLS Golden Boot, getting odds of 40/1. Incredibly, those odds have now shortened to 5/1 and that's without the 36-year-old even making a single league appearance.

Currently, Hany Mukhtar of Nashville leads the scoring charts with 13 goals from 24 matches.

In addition, the second leg of the bet was for Inter to go all the way in the Leagues Cup, with odds of 10/1. They've now made it to the quarter-finals, where they will face off against Charlotte FC on Saturday.

Even with Messi involved, it's still an ambitious double bet and if it comes in, Brad will be £22,550 richer.

However, he is already being offered a huge £605.79 cash-out - which might just be a smart call.

Messi has already helped out one fan - albeit inadvertently - as Amanda Libre from New Jersey sold her ticket for New York Red Bulls vs Inter Miami for $505 (£396) to pay for upcoming knee surgery.
