Damning Video Of Marcus Rashford's Decision Making In Attack Is Annoying Manchester United Fans

Rashford failed to impress in Madrid.

A video of Marcus Rashford's 'increasingly frustrating' decision making in attack has gone viral and Manchester United fans want it to stop.

Rashford started in United's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night and failed to impress.

The 24-year-old is having a tough season and nothing seemed to click on the right hand side, with Atletico defending well.

@UtdFaithfuls on Twitter have shared clips of Rashford in action and he tried to take on too much on his own.

In the first half Rashford had a chance to pass to Cristiano Ronaldo or Paul Pogba on the edge of the box, but instead kept the ball and lost possession.

The second half then saw Rashford try to pass to Ronaldo and through three Atletico players, while Luke Shaw was making an overlapping run.

Not shown in the video was a moment he chose to shoot from 40 yards out, rather than pass to a teammate.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick had seen enough by the 75th minute and subbed Rashford off for Anthony Elanga.

Fans have reacted to Rashford's performance and they're hoping he can hit top form again soon.

One commented: "He looks clueless like he’s not trained in about 2 years. Love him but I’m really worried for him."

Another added: "He's been like this for well over a year, I'm not sure why people are only seeing this now."

A third put: "This is has always been something Marcus needs to improve."

While someone tweeted: "He just runs into a wall and loses the ball."

Joao Felix gave Diego Simeone's side the lead inside seven minutes with a lovely header that left David de Gea rooted to the spot.

Atletico dominated the first 45 and were unlucky to not make it 2-0, after Sime Vrsaljko's header hit Victor Lindelof and bounced back off the bar.

United managed to snatch a goal with 10 minutes to go when Elanga coolly slotted past Jan Oblak for his fourth goal of the season.

It means the tie is finely poised for March's return leg at Old Trafford.

Rangnick paid tribute to Elanga at full-time and he sees big things in the future for the teenager.

Per Fabrizio Romano he explained: "I wish a few other players would take Elanga as a role model. He's simply living the dream. He was the player with the best training performance, and he'd already decided to leave on loan...

"I told him I want him to stay. He has a great approach, really."
